4 INTENDED USE
NFCH pumps are used to handle mineral or synthetic thermal oils at very
high temperature.
The specific design of pump bearing bracket makes it possible to use a
standard mechanical seal and avoids the use of an expensive auxiliary
cooling device.
Those pumps are used in processes with thermal oils at a nominal
pressure of 16bars, in chemical industries, paper or plastics
manufacturing processes, .
5 DESCRIPTION
5.1 TYPE KEY
Pump description is engraved on pump name plate. It gives a
general description of pump design. The nameplate is attached to
pump bearing bracket.

Mechanical seal housing : steel (C45E – AISI 1045)

Shaft : steel (C45E – AISI 1045)

Impeller : cast iron (EN ‐ GJL250)

Bearing housing : cast iron (EN ‐ GJL250)

Bearing : Carbon/Antimony

Sealing

Casing seal : graphite stainless steel reinforced flat gasket.

Shaft sealing : single mechanical seal Cr steel/Carbon/Viton.
5.2.2 PERFORMANCE AND OPERATING LIMITS
5.2.2.1 TEMPERATURE
NFCH pumps are designed to handle thermal oil up to 350°C.
Thanks to the bearing bracket design, the fluid temperature in
mechanical seal chamber is limited to 150°C max.
5. 2. 2. 2 PRESSURE
Maximum working pressure is :

16bar up to 120°C.

13bar from 120°C to 300°C.

10bar from 300°C to 350°C.
Intermediate values will be calculated by linear interpolation.
Hydrostatic test pressure : 1.3xPS = 21bar
