Because the SAFEX
®
-RADIO REMOTE CONTROL consumes for its reception ability some
energy, it will consume somewhat more battery capacity as with the energy neutral
SAFEX
®
-FlowMarker
®
-CABLE REMOTE CONTROL.
Special behavior when using a remote control:
Is the FlowMarker in the sleep- or energy-saving mode, the fog function will be trig-
gered too by pressing a remote control key. During the required heat up phase the fog
function cannot be switched off inadvertently. In this way an unintentional switching off
due to e.g. a key double activation is prevented because the user wants to start with the
remote control the fog release.
The device can be also optionally equipped with the FlowMarker
®
-STATIV-MOUNTING
PLATE, which allows to set up the device with an usual photo tripod with standard
thread.
This accessory is attached usually by the factory, but can also be retrofitted to existing
devices (e.g. by service stations).
In particular for stationary, as well as for mobile applications it can be useful to operate
the
FlowMarker
®
permanently with power supply. This is now possible with the 10-metre
FlowMarker
®
-POWER CABLE , with which the SAFEX
®
-FlowMarker
®
will be connected
to the standard battery AC charger adapter.
Due to the so established network connection the FlowMarker is virtually unlimited opera-
tional, only smoke fluid must be refilled if necessary (For this however disconnect tempo-
rarily the power supply!)
For special applications, extension tubes are available or can be developed.
Presently, the following variations are available:
APPLICATION TUBE EXTENTION AR3 - 75 cm length
furnished with a tube fitting system for an application length of up to 1.8 m.
This accessory is suitable for the investigation of airflows at ceilings and smoke
detectors.
NEW
is the also 75 cm long FLOWTRACER
©
-FOG FILAMENT CURTAIN DEVICE, which
is fitted in the same way on the application tube and is a simple solution for cre-
ating a fog filament curtain with 9 fog filaments with a distance of 8 cm.
With the newly developed, optional available FM-HYDRA-TUBESYSTEM, the fog
filament curtain can still become improved, because with it an additional air injec-
tion with variable speed comes to use.
The FlowMarker
®
II also offers the possibility, to work with it in the old operation mode,
also in the same way as it was previously usual with the predecessor model. This work-
ing mode (Secondary Mode) is intended for users, which do not prefer the new operation-
al mode.
To change the operation mode, the FlowMarker
®
must be switched off first!
The blue button must be then permanently pushed over 10 sec , while all 3 LEDs light
up briefly, but go out than completely. With the still permanently pushed button the red
LED will light up after about 10 seconds and
must be deleted now 3 times by pressing
