Electrical connection:
after verifying the data indicated on the plate, connect the terminals of the motor following the
schemes indicated in fig.3, according to the tension and to the number of phases of the feeder line. Connect the earth-
ing cable.
Setting protection devices:
Set the thermal cutout relay on the appliance so that it corresponds to the nominal current
value for the motor and then start it up. Using an ammeter, check absorption on all three phases; the value should be
uniform (maximum tolerated unbalance 8%) and below the current specified on the motor’s specifications plate. Reduce
the setting of the thermal cutout relay slowly until this is tripped. Increase the setting of the relay by 5% and start up the
motor again; if the relay is tripped, it must be increased by a further 5%, otherwise leave it as set.
After a period of time sufficient in order to reach the steady state, it shall be necessary to verify the following
conditions:
lack of vibrations or of anomalous noises; lack of changes in the delivery; value of
the absorbed current by
the motor not higher than the one indicated on the plate. In presence of one (or
more) of the above mentioned conditions,
it shall be necessary to stop the pump and to find the cause.

MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance is not required for SAER submersible motors. In case extraordinary maintenance is required, get
in touch with the SAER Technical Assistance. Do not modify the product without the necessary preventive authorization.
Before executing any operation, turn off the power and prevent it from being reconnected.
The replacement of the feeding cable must be done by an authorised distributor.
8.
DECOMISSIONING AND DISPOSAL
At the end of the operating life of the motor or any of its parts, it must be disposed of in observance of current regula-
tions. This also applies to the liquid contents, with particular regard if classified toxic or harmful, and for the packaging.
Refer to the informations about the disposal in accordance with the WEEE Directive 2012/19 / EU given in this manual.
