How is the perfect grass blade cut achieved?

The length of the grass to be cut should not exceed 10 cm when a mulching mower is used. A maximum of 1/3 of the grass
height is cut in one working cycle. If a positive result is not achieved, mulching may have to be repeated.
Depending on the type of lawn and growth intensity, the grass should be mowed regularly. During the strong growing phase
in particular, mulch-mowing needs to be done more frequently than traditional mowing with grass collection, since the one-
third rule is hard to keep otherwise.
To achieve an optimum mulching result you should reduce the machine speed for mulching compared to traditional mowing
to allow the grass to remain in the mowing blade longer and thus be cut several times.
The best cutting pattern and result are achieved on a dry lawn, since wet cut grass will stick together and clump quickly.
These grass clumps will rot and mould, preventing the desired ecological cycle.
If the lawn has to be mowed in a very damp, wet state, the cut grass must be shorter i.e. the cutting height must be set 1-2
levels higher than with a dry lawn.
You will notice that if you follow these simple rules you will have a healthy lawn and can save on disposing of your grass
cuttings. If the grass should happen to be too high for mulching, the mulching mower can be converted for mowing with a
side ejector in no time.

– Stop the engine and remove the spark plug.
– Remove the cover plate (1) from the right-hand side of the housing.
To do this loosen the two self-locking nuts (2) and pull the washers (3) off, pull the two flat round screws (4) out from the
inside (cutting space) and remove the cover plate.
The mulching blade system does not have to be converted!
For the equipment to be used as a mulching machine again, the cover plate (1) must be replaced. To do this, insert the cover
plate into the housing from the inside in such a way that the two bore holes in the cover plate are aligned with the bore holes
in the housing. Insert the two flat round screws (4) into the bore holes from the inside (cutting space), put the washers (3) in
place and tighten using the two self-locking nuts (2).
WARNING
Never use the equipment with the deflector damaged or missing.
Always work with the deflector closed (folded downwards) even when the machine has been converted for
mulching.
