Changing the coalescer
Dismounting
11.5.1
Switch off the voltage of the oil separator.
1)
Shut all pipelines to and from the oil separator.
2)
Drain the oil separator. Remove drain cap or open

drain valve.
Disconnect cable connections.

Cable connection of heater pos. 10

Disconnect valve connections

Disconnect flange or sleeve connection between lid

and valves pos. 4. The valve should remain screwed
to the ship's pipeline.

to the ship's pipeline.
Unscrew the sensor electrode. This is recommended

for safety reasons.
Unscrew the electric heater, if present. This is
11)
recommended for safety reasons. Alternatively
separate steam heater connections, if present.
Remove screws from oil separator lid.
12)
Remove oil separator lid and lid seal. For oil
13)
separators with a power of 2.5 m3/h or more, we
strongly recommend to use lifting equipment.
Remove circlip from the diffuser (the pipe in the
14)
centre of the oil separator).
Pull off coalescer cross from the diffuser and remove
15)
it.
Screw out the diffuser using the coalescer key and
16)
pull it out.
