FES-6941 Overview
These single fiber bi-directional cards use bi-directional SFP transceivers that operate on different
transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) wavelengths over a single fiber and contain an internal WDM
splitter. This gives you five links (one fiber and four RJ-45) plus the Internal Link interface. The
FES-6941 series requires the
8320AR-056 Full Rear Module which includes one LC duplex fiber
optic connector and four RJ-45 connectors.
To make use of the single fiber bi-directional connection, the cards must be used together in pairs
based on their WDM, ensuring to pair an -A model with a -B model (e.g. pair an FES-6941-20A
with an FES-6941-20B or pair one FED-6943-20A with two FES-6941-20B). Refer to
Table 3.1
for paring details.
