About this manual
This manual covers the installation, configuration, and the operation of the UltraMatrix Remote series switches. The
installation consists of installing and configuring the unit, connecting the computers/servers, and installing and
configuring the viewer software on a network workstation.

UltraMatrix Remote switch is the results of Rose Electronics commitment to providing continued state-of-the-art
switching solutions for today’s demanding workplace. The UltraMatrix Remote has proven to be a valuable
investment for all types of businesses that have the need to monitor, maintain, and access information from multiple
computer systems locally, over your network, or from anywhere in the world. Its use in large computer facilities gives
the IT professional the added flexibility to remotely monitor and maintain hundreds of systems, running on different
platforms, from one or multiple KVM stations. The UltraMatrix Remote is the common sense switching solution that
provides the flexibility, integrity, and security required for today’s business environment.
The UltraMatrix Remote’s advanced on-screen display (OSD) menus guide you through the configuration process
with on-screen information for each configuration section, making it easy to configure the UltraMatrix Remote, the
KVM stations, the computers, the remote viewer, and security for the system. There are additional configuration
parameters that can be used to personalize the look of the menus and dialog boxes. A help line is provided for each
menu selection giving a brief explanation of the selected menu item.
