Change the User ID of “admin” to a new administrator User ID or a new user
(16 characters max, case sensitive, duplicate names are not allowed)

Type in a new password in the “Password” field
(16 characters max, case sensitive, duplicate passwords are allowed but not recommended)

Re-type the password in the “Confirm password” field
(If the password and confirmed password fields match, the “Passwords don’t match” label will be removed.

The “Dialback Number” field is reserved for future use

The “IP Mask” fields add an additional level of security to your system. You can specify an IP address range that
this user must connect from. A complete IP address can be specified for users that can only connect from a
fixed IP address. Wildcards (*) can be used to include all IP number
Example: 123.123.123.123 (Requires an exact match, user must login from the workstation with this IP address)
123.123.123.* (Typical setting for users using DHCP)

Click “OK” to change the administrator account to the new values or add a new user
Additional users can be added at this time using the same procedure. Click “Add User” to add a new user and enter
this users specific account information. If a new user will also be responsible for administration function, change the
“Administrator” field to “YES”.
The “Miscellaneous Configuration Items”, Inactivity timeout and Encryption type, are global settings that apply to all
administrator and user accounts.
Configuring the Viewer for the UltraMatrix Remote model
The remote Viewer is universal for all UltraMatrix Remote models and should be configured to match the model it will
be connecting to. This involves setting the switch type and the total number of CPU ports the viewer will be
accessing. Start the Viewer and connect to the UltraMatrix Remote, login, and click on “Settings”, then “KVM switch”.
(See Figure 23) Change the Ports value to the correct number of CPU ports on the UltraMatrix Remote.
Also from this screen, you can give each computer a specific name. Select the computer to re-name and type in a
new name. Computer names were also entered locally.
