20. DO NOT DRIVE STAPLES
on top of other fasteners, or with the tool at too
steep an angle: the fasteners can ricochet causing personal injury.
21. FIRE FASTENERS INTO WORK SURFACE ONLY.
Do not drive staples
nor attempt to do so, into hard or brittle materials such as steel, concrete, or
tile.
22. DO NOT DRIVE STAPLES
too close to the edge of the workpiece. The
workpiece is likely to split, allowing the fasteners to fly free or ricochet
causing personal injury.
23. STAY ALERT
. Keep hands and body away from the path of any potential
fired fastener. Watch what you are doing & use common sense. Don’t
operate any tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs or
alcohol. Check your prescription medication to determine if there could
be a problem.
24. PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCKS
. Prevent body contact with
grounded surfaces: pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures.
Before driving fasteners into walls, floors, or wherever “live” electrical wires
may be encountered, try to ascertain whether there is a danger of shock.
25. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR
of obstructions.
26. STORE IDLE EQUIPMENT.
When the tool is not being used, it should be
cleaned, and stored in a clean dry place out of the reach of children.
27. EMPLOYERS

other instructions in this manual. Keep it available for use by everyone as-
signed to use this tool.
