Required options
An LTE MIMO measurement setup with four R&S
TSMEs requires the following
options
:

One R&S
TSME with an installed LTE option (R&S
TSME-K29) and a band option
(R&S
TSME-KxB)
●
One R&S
TSME with an installed LTE MIMO option (R&S
TSME-K30)
●
All R&S
TSMEs must have the MIMO extension option R&S
TSME-K300, which is
installed at factory by default

power source, such as the R&S TSMW-Z1 AC power supply

LAN connection between the four R&S

Connecting Multiple R&S
TSMEs with Each Other
For setups with multiple R&S
TSMEs, the devices must be connected with each other
mechanically, and also to a common synchronization cable.
For
2x2 setups
, the option R&S
TSME-ZC2 is required. It consists of a metal mounting
bracket with screws and a synchronization cable with 2 connectors.
For
4x4 setups
, the option R&S
TSME-ZC4 is required. It contains three metal mount-
ing brackets with screws and a synchronization cable with 4 connectors.
To connect the devices using the metal mounting brackets
1. Turn the first device upside down.
2. Place the mounting bracket on top of the device, with the hole over the airflow per-
forations and the brackets facing upwards.
3. Screw the metal plate to the bottom of the device using the supplied screws.
