Local mode/ Remote mode
Local mode
In this mode, the controls on the panel of the VM-83 are used to
operate the unit.
Immediately after being turned on, the unit is always in local mode.
Remote mode
In this mode, the VM-83 operates in response to commands sent from
a computer. Only the MENU key and LIGHT key on the VM-83 are
active, all other controls are disabled. The indication REMOTE ap-
pears on the display of the VM-83 when the unit is in remote mode.
Switching between local mode and remote mode
The RMT command is used to switch between local mode and remote
mode.
