Command messages
By sending command messages to the KS-93, the external equipment can
control its operation.
Command messages consist of the header "X/" and one or more commands,
such as "X/C" or "X/R1S0L1".
When the KS-93 receives a command message from the external equipment,
it returns an appropriate response message. The acknowledgment message
"R/ACK" is returned when all commands in the received command message
are valid (see page 44). If the received message contains any invalid command,
the command is disregarded and an appropriate error message is returned,
such as "R/ER2" (see page 44).
In the following explanation, only the parts after the "X/" header are explained.
Note that the actual command message must always contain the header followed
by the command. For example, to send the "C" command, the entire message
must be "X/C
<EOL>
".
In the following explanation, "n" stands for a single-digit numeral. For example,
"Sn" can mean "S0", "S1" etc. The meaning of the numerals is explained in
the respective sections.
Note
Using remote mode is recommended when control-
ling the unit from external equipment (see page 32).
