5.5.2 Connecting the SAFERUN
®
CMS-T to the power supply
The SAFERUN
®
CMS-T converter is connected to the power supply
via the terminal strip inside the SAFERUN
®
CMS-T.
ATTENTION
Possible damage to the SAFERUN
®
CMS-T
converter!
The SAFERUN
®
CMS-T converter may only be
connected to a power supply that corresponds to the
specifications given in the technical data.
The SAFERUN
®
pump monitoring system can be used in non-
explosion-hazard areas and, with the appropriate power supply,
also in explosion-hazard areas.
NOTICE
►
The outside diameter of the connection cable
must be 6 mm to 9 mm in order to ensure a
sealing effect of the cable gland in accordance
with protection class IP65 (in line with
EN 60529).

It is recommended to use a shielded
installation cable for the intrinsically safe
power supply of the
SAFERUN
®
CMS-T
converter. Depending on the operator ’ s
shielding concept, the cable shield can either
be connected to ground potential or to
Terminal 9
“ shield ” on one or both sides.
