5 Installation
5.1 Safety instructions
The device is Category 2 intrinsically safe electrical equipment
and is approved for the following areas in accordance with the
EC type examination certificate:

Installation in Zone 1 and 2 of the potentially explosive area,
◼
with Category 2 intrinsically safe circuits with protection level “ ib ”
of the potentially explosive area.
Pay attention to the following safety instructions when installing
the device:
DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Contact with live cables or components can be
potentially lethal!

Before starting work, switch off the electrical
supply and secure it against being switched on
again.
WARNING
Danger of injury from improper assembly and
installation!
Improper assembly and installation can result in
serious injury or material damage.

Before starting work, ensure that there is
sufficient space for assembly.
►
Make sure that the assembly area is clean
and tidy! Components and tools that are
loosely stacked or lying around can cause
accidents.
►
Fit components properly.
►
Wear the protective clothing prescribed by
the operator for the location of the device.
