PERATION
Operation of the
Linx DVI 8x8 Matrix Switcher
can be done through
command lines, front panel controls, or the graphic interface web control
panel (WCP). All functions are support under command line operation;
capabilities of the front panel and WCP operation are reduced.
Transferring files and updating firmware is discussed in
Chapter 5
on
page 44. A detailed discussion of commands can be found in
Chapter 4
on page 30.

Command line control of the
Linx Switcher
can be done through the RS-
232 or Ethernet connection. See
Chapter 2
on page 7 for establishing
communication with these ports. Commands are grouped in the

SYSTEM SETTINGS
The
Linx Switcher
can operate without making modification of any
system settings. However, commands are provided to set parameters as
required.
SYStemTIME
- Use to display or set the system 24-hour clock.
HOSTNAME
- An optional name may be assigned to the
Linx Switcher
with this command. Without an argument, this command displays the
current host name.
Additional system commands are:
SYStemReSeT
- Reset the system without turning the power off and on.
VERsion
- Displays the system, front panel and firmware versions.
