A command line interface is provided for
Linx DVI 8x8 Matrix Switcher
using the serial port. A full description of available commands is
provided in
Chapter 4
on page 30.
PCs running the Microsoft Windows operating system are provided with
serial emulation software known as HyperTerminal. This provides a
convenient method to communicate with the
Linx Switcher
.
Use the following steps to launch a HyperTerminal window on a PC:
1.
Connect the
Linx Switcher
to a PC as described in section
RS-
232 Control
on page 5.
2.
Click
Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications >
HyperTerminal
.
