• After a crash, always move the actuating regulator right down immediately
• Do not subject the helicopter to direct sunlight or bright headlights whilst it is flying. This may lead to malfunction of the IR remote control unit.
•  The infrared receiver on the helicopter and the infrared transmitter on the remote control unit must not be covered up. If the receiver or the transmitter are covered up,

the helicopter cannot receive any signals.

• Do not apply stickers or other labels to the helicopter as these might influence the infrared signal transmission.
• Two or more helicopters of the same model cannot be flown using the same band.

Tips for operation

guidelines on safe flying

6. geNerAL FLigHT TiPS:

•  Always lay the helicopter down on a smooth surface. A slanting surface may negatively affect

the starting characteristics of the helicopter.

• Always move the regulator slowly and sensitively.
• Always observe the helicopter and not the remote control unit!
•  Move the actuating regulator downwards slightly as soon as the helicopter lifts off from the

ground. In order to maintain the flying height, adapt the actuating regulator settings.

• If the helicopter goes lower, move the actuating regulator upwards slightly.
• If the helicopter rises, move the actuating regulator downwards slightly.
•  In order to fly into a curve, it is often sufficient to tap the direction regulator gently into the

appropriate direction. During the first flight attempts, people tend to control the helicopter too

vehemently. The control regulator should always be moved slowly and carefully - never quickly

or suddenly.

•  Beginners should, after trimming, first try to command the actuating regulator correctly. The

helicopter does not necessarily have to fly straight ahead at first - it is more important to main-

tain a consistent height of approximately one metre above the floor by repeated, brief tapping

of the actuating regulator. Only then should you practice moving the helicopter left and right.

5. SuiTABLe FLigHT eNviroNMeNT:

The location in which the helicopter is flown must fulfil the following criteria:
1.  It should be a closed room in which there are no strong draughts. If possible,

no air conditioning, heating fans etc. should be present which may generate air streams.

2. The room should be at least 10 m long, 6 m wide and 3 m high.
3. There should be no objects in the room (fans, lamps etc.) which might hinder flight.
4.  On starting, you must ensure that all living creatures - including the pilot - are standing

at least 1-2 m away from the helicopter when the flight begins.

5.  Always observe the helicopter to ensure it does not fly at the pilot, other people or

animals and injure them.

cAuTioN!

Since 2005, there is an obligation of insurance for model aircraft and helicopters flown out-

doors. Please consult your private liability insurance and make sure that your new and present

models are included in this insurance. Please obtain this confirmation in writing and store

it at a safe place. Alternatively, DMFV offers in the Internet on www.dmfv.aero a free trial

membership incl. insurance.

A micro SD memory card (supplied) needs to be inserted for the camera to work. Always switch your helicopter off to insert and remove the card! Make sure that all write and read processes are completed

on the card before you remove it from the camera or card reader otherwise data can be lost.

a) inserting the memory card

Inserting the memory card: Carefully slide the

card the right way round into the card slot on

the camera module until it clicks into place.

DO NOT apply FORCE!

removing the memory card:

Carefully press

the card to release it and pull it out of the slot.

DO NOT apply FORCE!

b) reading the card

Carefully slide the card the right way round

into the card slot on the back of the USB card

reader. DO NOT apply FORCE! Now insert

the card reader into a free USB port - it is

recognised as an exchange data carrier and

pictures and videos can be used.

c) controlling the camera

Switch the remote control and helicopter on as

described under 1. A green LED illuminates on

the underside of the camera.

Photo:

Press the photo button. The LED flashes

3x red while the photo is being taken.

video:

Press the video button. The LED flashes

red while the video is being recorded.
Press the video button again to stop recording.

Setting the camera:

You can also adjust the

inclination angle of the camera. Turn the lens

on the front of the camera module up or down.

DO NOT apply FORCE!

Flying several helicopters at the same time

Up to three pilots can fly their helicopters at the same time! To do this, proceed as follows:
• Pilot 1 switches their remote control unit on and selects channel A
•  Pilot 1 switches their helicopter on. Once it is ready, the pilot taps the actuating regulator briefly,

whereby the helicopter sets itself to channel A.

• Pilot 1 sets their remote control unit to one side without switching it or the helicopter on
• Pilot 2 switches their remote control unit on and selects channel B
•  Pilot 2 switches their helicopter on. Once it is ready, the pilot taps the actuating regulator briefly,

whereby the helicopter sets itself to channel B.

• Pilot 2 sets their remote control unit to one side without switching it or the helicopter on
• Pilot 3 switches their remote control unit on and selects channel C
•  Pilot 3 switches their helicopter on. Once it is ready, the pilot taps the actuating regulator briefly,

whereby the helicopter sets itself to channel C.

Now you can fly the helicopters at the same time!

replacing the rotor blades

1.

  Take a Phillips screwdriver and

carefully unscrew the screws on

the rotor blade.

If the helicopter rotor blades are damaged and you have to replace them, proceed as follows:

Ensure before installation

that you have not mixed

up the rotor blades. The

rotor blades are marked

“C” and”D” (see Fig.)

Type “C” rotor blades are

installed on the top and

type “D” rotor blades are

installed below.

2.

  Now carefully pull the rotor

blade off the holder.

3.

Insert the new rotor blade carefully into the

holder and tighten the screw.

caution:

Do not screw in the screw too tightly.

The rotor blade must have some play.
