Cascade
If "CASCADE" regulation is selected (with the cor-
responding key
), PID regulation is also acti-
vated automatically. Operation with cascade regu-
lation allows the units to be switched on one after
the other, depending on actual demand. It is used
in hot air generators in battery systems. In this sub-
menu, the switching differentials and the time of
maintaining the signal above or below the
threshold must be set in order to prevent the
slaves from being repeatedly switched on and off
in the event of any malfunctions. The room temper-
ature controller calculates the percentage power in
accordance with the PID calculation described
above and, depending on the resulting percentage,
a number of units are switched on per the number
of slaves. The ATR-Smart thus divides the value
100% by the number of slaves, using the positive
differential to switch on and the negative differen-
tial to switch off. The number of units divided by
corresponds to the number of controlled slaves
entered in the "SYSTEM CONFIGURATION" menu
(
‘System configuration’ on page 16
).
"N. SLAVE" and "SWITCH VALUE" are high-
lighted in blue, as they are only displayed.
