5. Installation - electrical
E1
Disconnect
the 12 V and 230 V supply from
the battery and the electricity supply.
Working with the electrical installa-
tion without previously disconnect-
ing the electricity supply may cause
danger to your life!
E2
Choose a suitable installation place for the
E-
box
, such as the storage area under seats
close to the battery box. The installation can
be made on the floor or against the wall.
When installing on the wall, the cable connec-
tions must always be at the bottom. When
selecting the place, make sure that the E-box
can be conveniently accessed from the out-
side, in case you have to use the cable for the
remote control.
Now fix the E-box with 4 screws.
For the connection of the E-box, please drill 4
holes
, each with a diameter of 6 mm, into the
vehicle floor. Make sure that there are no
installations or supporting parts in or below
the floor, in the area of the drillings. Place the
cables through the holes.
Remove the housing lid of the E-box by
loosening the 4 Phillips screws.
E3
Now lay the
6 mm²
cables of the left and right
drive unit to the E-box.
For the installation and fixing of the cables
please use the clamps provided, which are
part of the delivery. As a protection against
sharp edges, please use suitable electrical
insulation sleeves, which are available in
special shops. Mark the cables for the left and
the right drive units. The cable for the left and
the right drive units should be the same
length. Avoid loops. If possible, install the +
and the - cable separately, with a space
between them.
Keep both cable lengths as short as possible.
Now cut the cables to correct length and from
the ends remove approx. 5 mm of the insula-
tion. Fix the ring connectors by use of crimp-
ing pliers.
Make sure that they are properly fixed!
Mount the cables as shown in the wiring dia-
gram .
You can recognize the positive pole on the
motor by the red coated rivet on the connect-
ing clamp.
E4
Now lay the
10 mm²
cables from the E-Box
box to the battery. The
isolation switch
is to
mount into the plus (+) line. The switch should
be accessible from outside. We recommend
you to place it in the battery box storage com-
partment. As a protection against sharp
edges, please use electrical installation
sleeves, which you can purchase in special
shops. The distance between battery and
E-box should never exceed the length of the
enclosed cables. The shorter the cables, the
better.
Make sure that you never exchange
the Positive (+) and Negative (-) of
the electricity supply!
Make sure that all cables are installed
properly, solidly and without any fric-
tion.
Carefully seal any holes with suitable
sealing material, from the inside and
the outside.
E5
Fix the housing lid of the E-box.
Mount the
antenna cable
in accordance with
the notes on the E-Box. If the radio signal
reception is poor, then you extend the
antenna to 54 cm. The cable should be taken
outside the vehicle taking care that the aerial
does not come into contact with any metal
parts.
E6
If your system is equipped with
MotorDrive
(option), connect it to the terminals of the
E-box by means of a cable 6 mm² according
to connection plan .
E7
Connection
D-Plus
(Safety circuit)
If the D-Plus signal of the vehicle has been
connected to the contact and a signal is sup-
plied, the MoveControl cannot be started. This
kind of safety circuit prevents any operation
being not appropriate.
E8
Now connect the 10 mm² cables to the
battery
. The electrical installation is now
completed.
