Cut plastic MT using paper scissors. When cutting, it is recommended to trim
MT edges so that they are rounded in shape.
Cut paper cartridges for ½’’ plastic MT from printed stencils using paper
scissors. Cut along the lines.
z
Tear the tape along the blade edge (Figure 5, pos. 2). When tearing, it is better to
“twist” the tape but not pull it up (Figure 5b). When tearing the MT avoid fins forming
on strip edges.
z
Put the obtained MT strip with its concave edge under the blade of the cutter and tear
another edge similarly.
z
Stack the ready-made MT strips into the cartridge for storing MT (Fig. 6, pos. 1). which
is marked with green marker (demagnetized MT).

To insert MT strips into the cartridge, do the following. Roll up the MT strip into a
curl ≈ Ø20 mm (for example, it can be rolled around your finger as shown in Figure 6а). Then
push it inside the cartridge (Figure 6b). Each subsequent roll is inserted inside the previous one.
To extract MT strips from the cartridge, do the following. Turn the roll of MT strips inside
the cartridge so that the butt end of the upper curl of the tape would appear opposite to the cut
of the cartridge (Figure 6c). Then pull the MT strip by its edge in the tangent direction towards
the cartridge circumference (Figure 6d).
3
Correct the defects of MT strips or replace the damaged strips during routine
inspection of the accessories.
