for Gi29L using SIT 820 NOVA Gas Valve

THIS CONVERSION MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED GAS FITTER

IF IN DOUBT DO NOT DO THIS CONVERSION !!

1. Turn the unit off and allow it to cool to room

temperature.

2. Unplug or disconnect power source to stove.

3. Remove safety screen and glass front (see

manual).

4. Remove logs and brick panels (if installed).

5. Remove the right rear log bracket (3 screws).

Remove the burner tray (2 screws).

Slide burner tray to the left and out.

having jurisdiction. If these

instructions are not followed

exactly, a fire, explosion, or

The qualified service agency

is responsible for the proper

installation of this kit. The

installation is not proper and

complete until the operation

of the converted appliance is

checked.

9. Reverse steps 7 to 2.

10. Attach clear label "This unit has been

converted to 30,500" near or on top of

the serial decal.

11. Adjust aeration settings - see Air Shutter

Adjustment section in this manual.

12. Start the appliance (see Lighting

Instructions section in this manual).

Ensure that pilot and burner ignition are

completed without delay. Check your inlet

and outlet pressures at full load. With

a soapy solution, leak test the entire

system. Verify correct flame and pilot

appearance.

8. Remove the burner orifice with a 1/2" wrench

and replace it with the #38 orifice in the kit.

Use another wrench to support behind the

elbow when removing/replacing the burner

orifice.
