f) Switching on the Speed Controller
To prevent a sudden starting of the wheels and therefore an uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted or neutral position is not programmed correctly, see chapter 10),
place the model vehicle on a suitable surface (or starting box), so that the wheels can turn freely.
Never reach into the drive, and do not stop the wheels with your hand; danger of injury!
Switch on the speed controller (for switch position, see chapter 8. e). Then wait for a few seconds (leave the throttle/
brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
If the drive of the vehicle starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then
adjust the trim on the transmitter until the engine stops. If the trim is not enough, then it is necessary to
programme the neutral position, see chapter 10.
Now check the drive and steering function of the vehicle.
For programming the speed controller, please observe chapter 10. It describes how the neutral and full
throttle positions for forward and reverse driving must be set. This should be done at first start-up if the
steering servo does react correctly but the vehicle’s engine does not start.
g) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body
Guide the aerial tube from underneath the car body through the hole intended for it.
Now put the car body on the holders and fasten the vehicle panelling with the holding brackets removed at the start.
Your car is now ready for its first test run!
h) Controlling the Vehicle
Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive
too fast at the beginning until you get used to the reactions of the car.
Do not make any quick or jerky movements with the operating elements of the remote control.
If the vehicle shows a tendency to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.
When switching between forward and reverse gears, the throttle/brake lever must be put in neutral position briefly
(neutral position = let go of lever, do not move it). If the throttle/brake lever is moved from forward to reverse directly,
the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle will NOT reverse!).
Also observe the separately enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
The figures on the following page only serve to illustrate the functions; they do not have to correspond to the design of
the included transmitter!
