Operation
Attaching the Mulcher
The mulcher attaches to the C120R by the attachment plate
on the rear of the FM120-6R (7).
To attach the mulcher, find a suitable place to attach the
mulcher, a level open area clear of debris. If other personnel
are in or around the area be sure they are clear of the machine
as if where in operation due to the pinch points and movement
of the machine during coupling of attachment.
After inspecting the attachment and machine, unbolt the
red secondary lock on the loader lock handles and flip in
the vertical position.
With the engine speed in low, position creep towards the
mulcher with the loader attachment plate rotated forward
and the loader arms down. As the machine comes up to the
mulcher, line up the upper tabs of the loader attachment plate
with the upper pockets of the mulcher attachment plate. When
aligned, lift up the loader arms and roll back the attachment
plate to seat the mulcher attachment plate with the loader
attachment plate. Position the lock levers in the horizontal
position and install the secondary lock bar.
Attaching the Hoses
To attach the hoses from the mulcher to the C120R, remove
the cover panel bolts (8) to gain access to the couplers.
Before coupling the hoses be sure that all surfaces are clean
to prevent dirt and debris from entering the hydraulic system
and causing failures.
After clean couplers are achieved, align the coupler sleeve with
the alignment pin (9)and push coupler together. To release
the coupler align the sleeve and pull back to separate the
coupler. Repeat this process for the two flap hoses.
To attach the multi-coupler, align the main pin (10) with the
housing with the handle in the upward position. Once aligned
it may be necessary to make a slight adjustment (wiggle) the
multi-coupler to latch. Be sure the handle is in the lowest
position and the blue lock pin is latched.
To release the multi-coupler, press in the blue lock button
and lift the handle on the coupler and separate the mulcher
half from the coupler.
Once the mulcher side is in the crawler side, latch the lever
to draw halves together and secure the coupler together. All
hoses and connections should be inside the framework so
that the cover aligns properly.
Reinstall the cover and all hardware.
