Cleaning the Hose
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from
contact with skin damaging materials. During work
steps in which you work with printing materials or
cleaning agents, we always recommend wearing
protective gloves.
In case of frequent material changes, we recommend
using a separate material feed hose for each printing
material to avoid time-consuming hose cleaning. By
doing so, mark the hoses with the respective material
labels. Use the labelling flags included in delivery for
this purpose.
Before storing used hoses (e.g. for a prolonged period
of non-use), clean them thoroughly.
We also recommend using a separate bottle of
isopropanol for each material (indication) to avoid the
possible mixing of materials and colours.
When using the

function, the printing material is
conveyed from the material bottle connected to the material reservoir
inserted through a material feed hose. In this process, liquid material
residues can remain inside the hose after pumping, which can lead to
contamination or mixing of material after a material change.
To avoid mixing materials and possibly colours, the hose needs to be
cleaned every time the material is changed. We also recommend
cleaning the hose before prolonged periods of non-use and before
storing the hose.
Required Accessories
Safety gloves, bottle containing isopropanol, paper towels, compressed
air (optional)
Preparation
Proceed as follows to prepare for cleaning the hose:
1.
Wear protective gloves on your hands.
2.
Open the top and middle hood.
3.
Open a new bottle of isopropanol and place the bottle cap
aside.
4.
Place the bottle of isopropanol in the bottle holder on the left-
hand side next to the bottle holder (material).
5.
Insert the hose holder with the material feed hose from the refill
printing position into the parking position on the machine
housing. The end of the hose with the stainless-steel nozzle must
be pointing upwards.
Take care that none of the material drips
down!
6.
Now pull the hose out of the hose holder guide and insert the
end of the hose with the stainless-steel nozzle into the bottle of
isopropanol.
7.
Pull the stainless-steel tube out of the material bottle as well and
insert it immediately into the bottle of isopropanol.
Take care
that none of the material drips down!
8.
Fold the peristaltic pump cover upwards to allow material in the
hose section of the pump to flow back out of the hose.
