Checking & Adjusting the Parallelism of the Build Platform
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to sharp objects!
The knife on the separation unit has a sharp edge that
can cause slight hand injuries through direct contact.
–
The edge should never be touched directly.
Only hold the knife by the knurled nuts and with
the blade away from your body.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to moving parts!
The machine consists in part of accessible moving parts
which can cause minor hand injuries from crushing and
getting caught.
–
Before carrying out maintenance work that does
not require an active power supply, switch off the
machine at the main switch. Secure the main
switch against unauthorised restart.
–
Maintenance work may only be carried out by
personnel instructed in this work. The protective
measures stipulated are to be observed.
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials or cleaning
agents, we always recommend wearing protective
gloves.
The parallelism of the build platform is an essential aspect for
achieving flawless print jobs. A platform that is not set correctly to the
exposure unit can have a negative impact on the print quality of your
print jobs (e.g. components that do not adhere).
The parallelism of the build platform can be checked and adjusted
using two methods. The procedure using a dial gauge is described
below (Method 1).
Consult the separately available instructions for checking the build
platform parallelism with paper cards (Method 2).
