13.1 General
This tro ub leshooting g u ide has b een designed to
assist yo u in locating and correcting minor pro b lems
that may occ u r w ith the CGTH-Series heater.
Installation Code and Annual Inspections:
All installation and ser v ice of RAPID ™ eq u ipment m u st
b e performed b y a contractor q u alified in the installa-
tion and ser v ice of eq u ipment sold and s u pplied b y
Rapid Engineering LLC and conform to all req u ire-
ments set forth in the RAPID ™ man u als and all appli-
ca b le go v ernmental a u thorities pertaining to the
installation, ser v ice, operation and la b eling of the
eq u ipment. To help facilitate optim u m performance
and safety, Rapid Engineering LLC recommends that
a q
u alified contractor cond u ct, at a minim u m, ann u al
inspections of yo u r RAPID ™ eq u ipment and perform
ser v ice w here necessary, u sing only replacement
parts sold and s u pplied b y Rapid Engineering LLC.
BLOWER DOES NOT COME ON
Possible Cause
Try this....
Po w er cord is not pl u gged in. Pl u g po w er cord into a gro u nded three prong o u tlet.
Thermostat setting is too lo w . Increase thermostat temperat u re setting.
DSI mod u le needs to b e reset. Unpl u g heater po w er cord from the electrical o u tlet; w ait for a minim u m of
fi v e seconds. Pl u g heater cord b ack into o u tlet.
No po w er at electrical o u tlet. Replace f u se or reset circ u it b reaker.
Fa u lty thermostat w iring or Install j u mper w ire across THERMOSTAT
fa u lty thermostat. CONNECTION w ires on the rear of the bu rner. If b lo w er starts,
remo v e j u mper w ire and proceed as follo w s:
Check w iring b et w een thermostat and heater. If w iring is OK, then,
replace thermostat.
IGNITER DOES NOT SPARK
Possible Cause
Try this....
DSI mod u le needs to b e reset. Unpl u g heater po w er cord from the electrical o u tlet; w ait for a minim u m of
fi v e seconds. Pl u g heater cord b ack into o u tlet.
Fa u lty igniter or ignition w ire. Unpl u g heater po w er cord from the electrical o u tlet; check igniter and
ignition w ire for damage. If damaged, replace igniter and/or ignition ca b le.
Blocked Vent/Air S u pply The heater has a press u re s w itch to detect a b locked v ent or air s u pply. If
the fl u e or air s u pply d u cts are b locked the press u re s w itch w ill not allo w
the heater to contin u e operation. Check fl u e/air s u pply d u ct for
o b str u ctions; remo v e any o b str u ctions.
Check for loose/leaky air hoses to the press u re s w itch; repair/
replace/tighten hoses as req u ired.
