Reflector S u pport reflector w ith reflector hanger.
Reflector m u st not to u ch t ub e.
Make s u re there is no dirt, sagging, cracking or distortion.
Do not operate if there is sagging, cracking or distortion.
Clean o u tside s u rface w ith a damp cloth.
Vent Pipe Venting m u st b e intact. Using a flashlight, look for o b str u ctions, cracks on the
pipe, gaps in the sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st b e free of dirt and d u st. Clean as req u ired.
Remo v e any car b on deposits or scale u sing a w ire b r u sh.
After cleaning as necessary, re-attach the fl u e pipe to the heater.
See Page 27, Section 9 .
Outside Air Inlet Inlet m u st b e intact. Look for o b str u ctions, cracks on the pipe, gaps in the
sealed areas or corrosion.
The area m u st b e free of dirt and d u st. Clean and reinstall as req u ired.
Tubes Make s u re there are no cracks.
Make s u re t ub e is connected and s u spended sec u rely.
See Page 21, Section 8.6 through Page 25, Section 8.13 .
Make s u re there is no sagging, b ending or distortion.
Clean or replace as req u ired.
Gas Line Check for gas leaks. See Page 40, Section 11 .
Burner Observation
Window Make s u re it is clean and free of cracks or holes.
Clean and replace as req u ired.
Blower Scroll, Wheel and
Motor
Compressed air or a v ac uu m cleaner may b e u sed to clean d u st and dirt.
Burner Cup and Orifice Clear of o b str u ctions (e v en spider w e b s w ill ca u se pro b lems).
Caref u lly remo v e any d u st and de b ris from the bu rner.
Direct Spark I g niter Inspect the igniter. Replace igniter if there is excessi v e car b on resid u e, ero-
sion of electrodes or other defects.
Replace if cracked or b roken.
Thermostat There sho u ld b e no exposed w ire or damage to the de v ice or w iring.

Suspension Points Make s u re the heater is hanging sec u rely.
Look for signs of w ear on the chain or ceiling.

Protective Grille
