11.6 Self Locking Hooks
Self-locking hooks have positive action throat closure and are available for the load block and as a
suspension hook for the hoist. Not available for the SM1, SM2 or SM16/20/25 2 fall units.

12 Low Voltage Control
The low voltage control is magnetic motor control utilizing contactors. The controls are mounted in an
enclosure on the hoist. The control panel for the SM1, SM2 and SM5
hoist is a printed circuit board with
the contactors, transformer, etc. soldered to the board. The circuit board makes most of the internal
connections. On the other hand, the SM10, SM16, SM20
,
and SM25 hoists have contactors, transformer,
etc. mounted on a plate with electrical wire connections. Configurations B,C,D,S & V are low voltage
control.
