1. "Calibration" is the first menu item in Table 4.1.
Display shows "Calib?"- Press
[Y/+]
to perform
calibration. The first sub-menu shows: "Zero?"
2. If "zero" air is available, snap in the calibration adapter
over the sensor cap of the ToxiRAE Unit and connect
the other end of the tube to the zero gas bottle, as
shown in Fig. 4.1. If the "zero" air is not available,
simply leave the unit in an area free of any detectable
vapor (do not use calibration adapter in the latter case).
3. Press
[Y/+]
key to zero the unit. The display shows
"zero..." After about 2 seconds, the display should
shows reading of “0.0 OK?"
4. If the reading shows a small non-zero value, press
[N/-]
key to zero it again. Repeat this process until the
reading is stabilized at 0.0 or 0.1 ppm. Press
[Y/+]
key
to exit zero gas calibration and move on to next
calibration sub-menu item. This completes the zero gas
calibration sequence.
5.
Press the
[MODE]
key to exit the calibration sub-menu
and move directly to next menu item "Set Alarm
Limits" shown in Table 4.1.
