Note:
If you are about to install your board and power-up for the first time, leaving your board in the default
configuration (as above), will enable board operation to be proved prior to tackling any more
configuration issues.
RTC Standby Supply Voltage Link (E1)
This link selects the voltage of the standby supply to the I²
C
RTC (DS1337). As the normal VME
standby voltage is 5 Volts, the link should not normally be fitted. However, the PPC7A can be linked to
use a backup supply of 3.3 Volts.

Note:
If the link is fitted the Backup supply should never be allowed to go above 3.5 Volts otherwise damage to
the DS1337 device might result.
