CAUTION:
The bus speed must be set to the same setting between the disk drives and
the Disk I/O card(s). For example, if you have an expansion enclosure and
you are using 2 Gb drives in both enclosures, the Disk I/O cards must be set
to 2 Gb mode. If you have 2Gb drives in one enclosure and 1 Gb drives in
another enclosure, the Disk IO cards must be set to 1 Gb mode.

Re-install the Disk I/O card. Repeat this for the second Disk IO card.

Locate the switches on the SES Controller card and set them as indicated in the
illustration below. Refer to “SES Controller Card Switch Settings” on page 34 for the
other available settings.

Connect a Fibre Channel data cable from the Host 1 first HBA port to the “D1”
connector on the upper Disk I/O card.

Connect a second Fibre Channel data cable from the Host 1 second HBA port to the
“D2” connector on the upper Disk I/O card.

Connect a third Fibre Channel data cable from a Host 2 first HBA port to the “D1”
connector on the lower Disk I/O card.

Connect a fourth Fibre Channel data cable from the Host2 second HBA port to the
“D2” connector on the lower Disk I/O card.
CAUTION:
When using dual loop topologies, you will be required to install and use
volume management software.
