Antenna Cable Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace antenna cable as follows:
a.
Disconnect the antenna cable from the connector at the rear of the diplexer by turning counterclockwise.
b.
Disconnect the antenna cable from the connector at the base of the antenna mast by grasping the
connector on the antenna cable and turning counterclockwise.
c.
Replace with a new antenna cable onto the connectors on the antenna mast and repair of the diplexer.

Antenna Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace the antenna as follows:
This equipment is capable of generating RF power sufficient to cause RF burns. During transmit,
care should be taken to eliminate the possibility of touching exposed RF output points such as the
center conductors of coaxial cables or antenna feedpoints.
a.
Disconnect the antenna from the antenna connector mounted on the mast by removal of mounting
hardware.
b.
Disconnect the coaxial cable.
c.
Replace the antenna with a known good antenna.

Receiver-Transmitter Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace the receive (RCV) or transmit (XMT) receiver-transmitter as follows:
a.
Remove the receiver-transmitter from the tactical repeater by turning the locking knob on the front
panel counterclockwise one-quarter turn.
b.
Pull the receiver-transmitter from the sleeve.
c.
Reinsert a known good receiver-transmitter into the tactical repeater.

Power Cable Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace power cable as follows:
a.
Disconnect the power cable from the connector at the rear of the tactical repeater by grasping the base
of the power cable connector and turning counterclockwise.
b.
Disconnect the power cable from the connector on the power supply by grasping the base of the power
cable connector and turning counterclockwise.
c.
Replace a new power cable onto the connectors on the tactical repeater and power supply.

Power Supply Removal/Replacement.
Remove/replace the power supply as follows:
a.
To remove the power supply (21, Figure 7-1), first disconnect the two power cables (32 and 46, 47,
or 48) by grasping the base of each power cable and turning counter-clockwise. Remove the coaxial
cable (23) leading from the diplexer (33). Then remove the screws (22) holding the power supply
mounting plate to the weldment frame (5). Remove the power supply.
