1.
In your application’s Print dialog box, choose Options.
2.
In the Options dialog box, in the Q
COLOR
list box, make sure
Automatic Color Control is selected. To get information about
the other color-control options—Graphics, Grayscale,
Overhead, Photographic, Text and Spot Color, and
Third-Party Color Management—choose the Help button.
Automatic Color Control is the best option for most jobs,
because it’s been designed to provide the best color output for
a large variety of documents. However, if for some reason the
Automatic setting doesn’t provide satisfactory color output
for a particular page element or document type, then select a
more specific Q
COLOR
setting (for example, Overhead for
overhead transparencies or Photographic for scanned
images).
NOTE: Media type (paper or transparency) may also be
selected by choosing the Customize button. However, the
media tray you’re using must be configured for the media type
it contains. This can be done through the printer control panel
(in the Operator Control/Media menu). See chapter 5, “Print
Media and Daily Operations,” for more information on media.
3.
Choose the Save button to save the Q
COLOR
settings between
print jobs.
4.
Choose OK.
