3. PTG tire infl ation systems
Since 1991, PTG has produced and sup-
plied tire infl ation systems that enable users
to adjust the tire pressure of their tractor
or trailer while driving (RDS/dual line sys-
tem and AIRBOX/drive, single or dual line
system) or while stationary (AIRBOX and
AIRBOX/mobile).
The enclosed brochure provides an over-
view of the systems available. Further details
including an information brochure in PDF
format describing specifi cally the benefi ts
and advantages of tire pressure adjustments
can be found on the Internet at www.ptg.
info.
If you have any further queries, please
contact your dealer or PTG directly.
1. Permissible tire pressure
Always follow the vehicle or tire man-
ufacturer’s instructions when changing
the tire pressure. You will fi nd these in the
operating instructions provided with the
vehicle or the technical guide supplied by
the tire manufacturer. If in doubt, consult
your agricultural machine or tire dealer!
2. Maintenance and servicing
The AIRBOOSTER
®
plus itself does not
require any maintenance. If used frequently,
the vehicle’s air reservoirs will need to be
drained at frequent intervals. Always make
sure to cover the screw-on connectors with
the respective protection caps to prolong
the life of the kit.
All parts of the AIRBOOSTER
®
plus set are
also available individually as replacement
parts. The PTG screw-on connectors incl.
protection caps, in particular, can be reor-
dered as a practical pack of four allowing
you, for example, to retrofi t other vehicles.
For tires with standard valves on the
inside of the wheel rim, the PTG wheel
connectors may be used to fi t the screw-on
valve fi tting to the outside of the wheel. To
do so, simply drill a hole (Ø 10.5mm) into
the rim ring and cut in a thread M12 x 1.5.
The PTG connectors can then be screwed
onto the wheel connectors.
PTG also stocks air/water valves with
metal base for tubeless tires if the tire valves
are not of this type and need to be changed.
