tionally requires loosening the small knurled nut

and briefly tapping it from above with a finger. After pumping,
the safety nut

(fig. AU) must be closed again and the valve
cap

FRONT WHEEL
REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL
1. Disconnect the brake cable

(fig. AV).
2. If present, disconnect the hub dynamo cable from the plug
connection.
3. Release the axle nuts that ensure tight fit of the front wheel
with a 15 mm wrench. For models with quick-clamp, release
the quick-clamp lever (s. also chapter Quick-clamp).
4. Take the nuts including washers off the axle.
5. Pull out the front wheel from the axle holder.
INSTALLING THE FRONT WHEEL
1. Insert the front wheel with the hub dynamo cable (if present)
into the axle holder straight on the right.
2. Push the washers and nuts onto the axle.
3. Tighten the axle nuts with a 15 mm wrench according to the
torque specification. For models with axle quick-clamp, close the
quick-clamp lever (s. also chapter Quick-clamp).
4. Plug the hub dynamo cable into the plug-in socket (if present).
5. Connect the brake cable

(fig. AV) again.
6. Check that the V-brake works properly. Adjust it if necessary (s.
chapter Brake).
• Incorrectly installed wheels may impair braking and cycling performance. Danger of
accident!
• Tighten all screws and nuts that you loosened again well. The front wheel may other-
wise come loose during the ride! Perform a careful test ride after installation. Danger
of accident!
