CHAIN
ADJUSTING THE CHAIN TENSION
HUB GEARSHIFT WITHOUT SWITCHBOX
1. Release the axle nuts

(fig. CA) on both sides of the rear
wheel with a 15 mm wrench.
2. Shift the rear wheel to adjust the chain tension.
3. Ensure that the wheel is placed straight in the holder and that
the chain is appropriately tensioned.
4. Attach the wheel with the axle nuts on both sides with a 15
mm wrench. Tighten the axle nuts (s. chapter torque specifica
-
tions).

1. Use the shifting lever to put in the 1st gear.
2. Release the attachment screw

(fig. CB).
3. Remove the switchbox.
4. Pull the switching pin that you can now see from the axle
bore.
5. Loosen the screw of the brake counter-holder

(fig. CC)
with a screwdriver.
6. Release the axle nuts on both sides of the rear wheel with a
15 mm wrench.
7. Shift the rear wheel to adjust the chain tension. Ensure that
the wheel is placed straight in the holder.
8. Attach the counter-holder bracket with the pipe clamp screw
connection

(fig. CC) at the frame.
9. Push the switching pin into the axle guide on the right to the
stop.
10. Push the switchbox onto the right axle nut as shown (fig. CB).
11. Fasten the switchbox with the lower attachment nut

12. Set the gear shift (s. chapter Gearshift).
• The rear wheel must be placed straight in the axle holder, since the braking or riding per-
formance may otherwise be impaired. Danger of accident!
• Tighten all screws and nuts that you loosened again well. Check that the safety washer is
placed correctly. The rear wheel may otherwise come loose during the ride! Perform a
careful test ride after installation. Danger of accident!
