Checking/replacing the battery
• To replace/insert the batteries, remove the cover of the battery compartment (H) and
insert 2 batteries 1.5V AAA (I) . Ensure that the batteries are inserted with their right
polarity (+/-). After inserting, close the battery compartment again.
• Promed HGP-50 checks the charge status of the batteries; the battery status display
(10) shows the low capacity of the battery and the symbol appears. If this is the
case, the batteries must be replaced immediately, otherwise the measurement result will
be falsified.
Note:
When the battery is changed, all stored measured values will be deleted.
After a battery change, date and time must be set again.
Caution:
• Remove the batteries when the device is not used for a longer time.
• Do not use old and new batteries or different battery types at the same time.
• Warning: If batteries leak and come in contact with skin or eyes, immediately clean these
areas with plenty of water.
• Batteries shall only be used by adults. Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.
• It is recommended to use batteries of the same or similar type.
• Remove empty batteries from the device.
• Dispose of the batteries according to the instructions of the battery manufacturer.
• Do not use batteries when they have expired.
Note:
If the power supply is interrupted or the battery status display (10) lights up during
measurement, the measurement must absolutely be repeated.
