Controlling an External Projector (Serial-Over-Ethernet)

The Profile setting available in the Add Fixture and Change Configuration windows allows the Mbox Director output to
be changed from the default Mbox (.Mbox with Layers) configuration to Serial-Over-Ethernet. The Serial-Over-
Ethernet feature allows Mbox Director to control any external projector which will accept Serial-Over-Ethernet
protocol.

To configure Serial-Over-Ethernet control:

Step

1. Open Add Fixture or Change Configuration window. (Refer to

"Adding Fixtures"

on page 12 for more

information.)

Step

2. Click on Profile setting at top-right of window. Select

Serial-Over-Ethernet

option. Window will now display

Serial-Over-Ethernet options.

Step

3. Enter custom name, IP address, and other parameters specific to the device you are controlling. (The IP

address entered here must match the IP address of the projector device.)
