Pressing either of these buttons ends the current piece and the whole
sequence, and returns you to the screen you were in when you pressed
Play All
.
•
To use an audio Play All sequence as background music
, press the
left arrow button while the sequence is under way.
You will be returned to the screen you were in when you pressed
Play
All
, and the sequence will continue to play. It will stop if you play other
audio content or a video piece. You can manually stop and restart it by
pressing
Background Music
.
When a
Play All
sequence ends, the effects of
Repeat 1/All
are canceled.
Your next
Play All
sequence starts in “no repeat” mode.
Other playback control buttons work exactly as they do during playback of
individual pieces. See the section on playback screens for details.
Search
is for finding items and groups that have names containing (or exactly
matching) a text string that you type in. The string is called the
search key
.
Any item or group of items that you have selected for sharing with the media
adapter can be found.
Search
is especially useful for finding an item or group when you remember
only part of its name, or for listing all files of a particular kind (all your GIF
images, for example) when they are scattered among many groups.
The Search screen is unusual in two ways. Before trying a search, note the
following about this screen:
•
When you get to the
Search Key
line, you must press
Select
before
typing a search key, and you must press it again when finished typing.
•
To go back to the screen you were in when you pressed
Search
, you
must press
Return
(or highlight
Cancel
and press
Select
).
To illustrate how
Search
works, we will go through a simple search, step by
step.
The Search screen has just appeared. The highlighting is on
All
, and there are
check marks on
All
and
Wildcard
.
When there is a check mark on
Wildcard
, the search will turn up items with
names that either contain the search key or are identical to it. When there is
no check mark on
Wildcard
, only items with names identical to the search key
will be found.
•
To uncheck or recheck Wildcard
, move the highlighting to it and
press
Select
. (We assume below that you have
not
done this.)
To find all items (files, folders, genres, etc.) in the Photo category with names
containing the string
jpg
(or
JPG
, or
jpg
in any other combination of upper and
lower case), proceed as follows:
