The raking height can be set individually for each rotary
unit.
- Adapt the raking height to the ground conditions
- The tines should rake over the ground lightly. (The tines
should be approx.
10 mm from the ground or inclined maximum 15mm
on the swath side.)
- If set too deep the fodder will become dirty or the sod
become damaged.
- Check the setting often during raking.
Variant: Mechanical height adjustment
- Set the rotary unit working height with the crank handle
7
- Fold safety hoop (6) up
- Turn crank handle (7) left or right
Turn left = lift rotary unit
Turn right = lower rotary unit
- Secure crank handle with safety hoop again
- Adjust feeler wheel (external)
Adjust feeler wheel (external)
(only with mechanical adjustment)
- When altering the working height the feeler wheel height
must also be altered using the spring linch pin (3)
• Adapt the distance (A) between the feeler wheel and
tines to the quantity of fodder.
- Depending on the quantity of fodder insert the pins
(4) in the appropriate position. If the fodder wraps
itself around the feeler wheel increase the distance
(A) stepwise.

Setting the working height (raking height)
To achieve clean raking, the rotor should sit as horizontal
as possible. A slight inclination (10 – 15 mm) to the swath
side is permissible.
The 2 draw spindles (S) are used each time to adjust the
rotor axle (X) on the rotor running gear.
Adjusting the feeler wheel will facilitate an alteration to
the rotor axle (Y).
