7.
Use two open-end wrenches and loosen the outer
jam nut
w
. Back out the outer jam nut 1 1/2 turns.
8.
Hold the outer jam nut and turn in the inner jam nut
e
clockwise, until the jam nut is tight against the
bracket.
9.
Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 until the proper
adjustment is obtained for the parking brake.
10. If additional adjustment is needed, the cable can be
adjust on the parking brake handle side jam nut
r
.
CALIPER REMOVAL
CAUTION
Do not get oil, grease, or fluid on the parking brake
pads. Damage to or contamination of the pads may
cause the pads to function improperly.
IMPORTANT
Be sure the parking brake is not engaged.
1.
Remove the clip pin and pin
q
from the parking
brake cable.
2.
Remove the two fasteners
w
retaining the parking
brake caliper mount / shift cable bracket.
3.
Lift the parking brake caliper off the brake disc and
remove it from the vehicle.
