FRONT BEARING CARRIER
INSTALLATION
1. Install drive shaft axle through the backside of the
bearing carrier.
2. Install the upper and lower ball joint ends into the
front bearing carrier.
3. Install NEW pinch bolts and nuts. Torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Ball Joint Pinch Bolts:
51 lb-ft (70 Nm)
4. Install the steering tie rod end onto the front bearing
carrier. Torque the tie rod end fastener to
specification.
TORQUE
Tie Rod End Fastener:
30 lb-ft (41 Nm) + 90°
5. Apply Anti-Seize to drive shaft axle splines.
6. Install front wheel hub assembly , and cone washer

, Install washer with domed side out. Hand tighten
the castle nut.
7. Install NEW brake caliper mounting bolts and torque
to specification.
TORQUE
Front Caliper Mounting Bolts:
30 lb-ft (41 Nm)
IMPORTANT
New bolts have a pre-applied locking agent which is
destroyed upon removal. Always use new brake caliper
mounting bolts upon assembly.
8. Torque wheel hub nut
w
to specification and install a
NEW cotter pin
e
. Tighten nut slightly if necessary to
align cotter pin holes. Bend both ends of cotter pin
around end of spindle in different directions.
TORQUE
Wheel Hub Castle Nut:
180 lb-ft (244 Nm)
