4.5 use
Fan speed control of MDB-4F by external pressure transmitter
(PT-1000) and PID function of Frequency converter.
The frequency converter is pre-programmed for either manual
control over the ventilator speed by using the potentiometer
on the frequency converter or next to the frequency converter
in case of a 600V version or automatic speed control using an
external pressure transmitter (PT-1000) as set point and the
PID functionality of the frequency converter.
The frequency converter has two set-ups:
Set-up 1 is manual and is the default setting
Set-up 2 is automatic
If you want to use Set-up 2, then this has to be selected.
How to change from default Set-up 1 setting to
set-up 2.
400-480V model:
• Open the control cabinet and go to the frequency
converter control panel.
• Enter the main menu of the frequency converter by
pressing [MENU] until the indicator is placed above the
first parameter in the display.
• Use [
▲▼
] to browse to parameter 0 and press [OK] to
select this parameter.
• The indicator moves to the next parameter in the display.
• Use [
▲▼
] to browse to parameter 11 and press [OK] to
select this parameter.
• The indicator moves to the next parameter in the display.
• Use [
▲▼
] to browse to parameter [Set-up 2] and press
[OK] to select this parameter.
• To exit and confirm the new setting press [Menu].
• Control and set the VFD with the potentiometer on the
display of the drive to the desired airflow.
• Now read the feed back signal coming from the under
pressure sensor and add and subtract 20% to this number
to set parameter 6-81 and 6-82 as minimum and
maximum values.
How to change from default Set-up 1 setting to
set-up 2.
600V model:
• Open the control cabinet and go to the frequency
converter control panel.
• Enter the main menu of the frequency converter by
pressing [MAIN MENU] until the indicator is placed above
the first parameter in the display.
• Use [ ▲▼ ] to browse to parameter 0 and press [OK] to
select this parameter.
• The indicator moves to the next parameter in the display.
• Use [ ▲▼ ] to browse to parameter 11 and press [OK] to
select this parameter.
• The indicator moves to the next parameter in the display.
• Use [
▲▼
] to browse to parameter [Set-up 2] and press
[OK] to select this parameter.
• To exit and confirm the new setting press [Status].
• No power down the SCP and wait until the FC51 variable
drive is shut down, then power up the unit again. Now the
system is PID ready.
• The potentiometer on the display will now act as set point
variable. Adjust the desired airflow accordingly.
