Electrical system
The controller is designed to be supplied with 230V~, 50Hz voltage. System features:
three-wire (with protective wire),
made in acc. with currently valid regulations,
equipped with a residual current device with an operating current IΔn≤30mA protecting
against the effects of electric shock and limiting device damage, including fire protection.
Caution: electric shock risk. After disabling the controller with the use of a touch
screen, controller terminals are still under dangerous level of voltage. Therefore, prior
to commencing any assembly works, disconnect mains voltage and make sure that
there is no dangerous voltage on terminals nor cables.
Connection cables should not be in contact with surfaces of temperature exceeding their nominal
work temperature. Terminals located on the right side of the device and labeled as L, N, 1-25 are
purposed for connecting devices with mains supply of 230V~. Terminals 26–55 and RJ are
purposed for cooperation with low-voltage devices (under 12V).
Connecting mains supply 230V~ to terminals 26-55, terminal RJ or USB will damage
the controller and may cause electric shock!
Tips of connection cables, especially mains voltage cables should be secured from splitting by e.
g. insulated clamp sleeves. The terminals of the protection strip must be tightened, even if no
cable is connected to the terminal.
Wire protectio: a) – properly secured, b) – improperly secured, c) - requirement to tighten the protective list screws,
where: 1 – connector, 2 – protective strip.
It is necessary to tighten all the screws of the protective strip clamp and make sure
that no wire conductor screwed into the terminals has an electrical contact with a
metal protective strip.
All peripherals may be connected only by qualified person in accordance with applicable
regulations. Safety precautions to prevent electrocution shall be observed. The
controller shall be equipped with a set of pins connected to 230V AC mains.
With a metal protective strip marked with
symbol should be connected:
protective wires of devices connected to the controller,
protective cable of the power cable,
metal mounting surface on which the controller is mounted
.
Before making any connections remove the cover from the casing of the regulator as shown
below.
Insulated clamp sleeve, 6mm
lenght.
