Customizing freedb Settings
The freedb database is an information database containing artist, disc title, track titles
and other information for digital audio compact discs.

Retrieve Options:
•
Use freedb server
: Specifies that PlexTools Professional will use the freedb
server to retrieve CD information.
•
Use local database
: Specifies that PlexTools Professional will use the local
database to retrieve CD information.
Search for CD on the freedb server when not found in local database(s)
:
Specifies that PlexTools Professional will look first in the local database for
CD information, then will look in the freedb database.
•
AutoSave to user database
: Specifies that the retrieved freedb information will
be saved to the user database.
•
Autoretrieve when an audiocd is inserted
: Specifies that PlexTools
Professional will automatically look for CD information upon insertion of an
audio CD into the drive.
•
Autoselect the first entry
: Automatically selects the first entry in the database.
•
Overwrite existing entries in local database
: Overwrites existing entries in the
local database with new information.
•
Server Settings
: Displays the freedb Server Settings window.
•
Database Settings
: Displays the freedb Database Settings window, where you
can specify the location of the user database and the freedb database.
