Retries
: The number of retries is set to 10 and cannot be changed. (To reduce the
number of reties below 10, select option 3, Read again upon error.

Maximum Errors
: Specify the maximum errors that will be tolerated for a
successful burn.
Unlimited
: Specifies that an unlimited number of errors will be tolerated.
100-5,000,000
: Specifies various numbers of errors to be tolerated.
(Numbers are separated in European style; that is, a period is used instead of
a comma in these numbers.)

Allow SpeedDown
: Allows reducing speed to reduce errors.
•
Error log
: Creates error log during burning process. The resulting log page can
be completed and sent to Plextor Technical Support for assistance in solving
problems. Please do not forget to fill in your personal data.
Specifying Recording Options
To change the recording preferences, select Options in the toolbar, select
Preferences, and go to the Recording Options tab.

Allow overburning
: Allows overburning a disc, an action where more data is
written on a CD-R than the disc format allows. This will create a non-standard
disc and the result is neither guaranteed nor supported. You may expect irregular
behavior as a result of an overburned disc, such as reading problems, program
halts on writing, strange or poor drive performance, etc.

: This must be selected when utilizing GigaRec.
