Chapter 4

3. Type this command at the boot prompt:

>>>set pci_device_override 2309105d

This command allows the DOME display board to be
recognized in a 64-bit slot.

4. Turn off the power to your workstation.

5. Remove the Digital display board from the 64-bit slot

6. Enable VGA mode on the Md4/PCI board by following

the instructions in “To enable VGA mode” on page 127.

7. Attach the VGA ribbon cable to the Md4/PCI board.

(The connector is keyed to ensure it is plugged in
correctly.)

8. Install the Md4/PCI board in one of the 64-bit slots.

Follow the steps in “To install the board” on page 124.
