Dual mono setting
Specifies how dual mono encoded Dolby Digital or DTS
soundtracks should be played:
•
ch1
– Only channel 1 is played
•
ch2
– Only channel 2 is played
•
L. c1 R. c2
– Both channels are played through the
front speakers
Note
• On the
ch1
and
ch2
settings the sound comes only
from the center speaker (or from the front speakers if
CENTER ––
was selected for the center speaker
setting.
• This setting works only with dual mono encoded
Dolby Digital or DTS soundtracks. See the disc
packaging for channel information.
Input attenuator setting
When playing analog sources, if the sound is distorting
(or when you see the
OVER
indicator light in the display),
switch on the input attenuator. Each input has its own
attenuator setting; set it for the currently selected input.
•
IN. ATT OFF
– Input attenuator is off
•
IN. ATT ON
– Input attenuator is on
Coaxial input setting
Specifies which receiver function the coaxial input
(
DVD(TV/SAT) COAX
jack) relates to:
•
COAX DVD
– Assigns the input to the receiver’s
DVD
function
•
COAX TV/SAT
– Assigns the input to the receiver’s
TV/SAT
function (the optical input is automatically
set to
DVD
)

Optical input setting
Specifies which receiver function the optical input (

SAT(DVD) OPT1

function (the coaxial input is automatically set to

SR+ mode for Pioneer plasma displays
Make the following settings if you have connected a
Pioneer plasma display to this receiver using the
supplied SR+ cable.

SR+ mode setting
•
SR+ OFF
– Switches SR+ off (the receiver and
plasma display work independently)
•
SR+ ON
– Switches SR+ on (the receiver sends
control signals to the plasma display)
Volume control setting
When the Volume Control setting is switched off it is
necessary to turn up the volume on the plasma display.
•
VOL C.OFF
– The receiver does not control the
volume of the plasma display
•
VOL C.ON
– If SR+ is on then when the receiver is
switched to an input that used the plasma display
(DVD, for example), the volume on the plasma display
is muted so only sound from the receiver is heard.
Function setting for DVD input
•
DVD: 1
–
5, TV (default: 3)
– Matches the
DVD
function of the receiver with a numbered video input
on the plasma display. For example,
DVD: 3
matches
the
DVD
input with video input 3 on the plasma

Function setting for TV/SAT input
When the SR+ mode is set to On, to watch a digital
broadcast you must manually change the receiver's input
to
TV/SAT
, then change the plasma display's input to the
digital broadcast.
•
SAT: 1

5, TV (default: 1)
– Matches the
TV/SAT
function of the receiver with a numbered video input
on the plasma display. For example,
TV: 1
matches
the
TV/SAT
input with video input 1 on the plasma

DVR: 1
