Cleaning
Regular cleaning will extend the life and performance of
this unit. The recommended way to clean the display and
related parts is described below.
Before beginning to clean to plasma display panel, unplug
the power cord from the power outlet.
Cleaning the display panel body and remote
control
Do not under any circumstances use solvents such as
benzine or thinner for cleaner. Use of such liquids may
damage the panel or the remote control, causing paint
to peel or other deterioration.
Wipe the display and remote gently with a soft cloth. If
the unit has an excessive buildup, dampen the soft cloth
with a diluted neutral cleaning detergent. Wring the cloth
thoroughly to remove excess moister then gently wipe the
component. Finish with a dry soft cloth.
Cleaning the screen
After dusting, wipe the screen gently using the supplied
cleaning cloth or another soft cloth (cotton, flannel, etc.).
Do not use tissue, paper towels, or a rough cloth. The
screen surface is easily scratched so do not rub or hit
it with a hard object.
If you clean the surface of the screen with a wet cloth,
water may seep into the product, possibly causing a
malfunction.
Cleaning the vents
As a general rule, use a vacuum cleaner once a month
to clean the rear panel vents of dust buildup. Set the
vacuum cleaner to its weakest setting to avoid damaging
the panel.
Using the panel without cleaning away dust will cause the
internal temperature to increase, resulting in possible
malfunctions or a fire.

Troubleshooting
What may at first seem to be an malfunction, may be
remedied with a quick inspection.
Please check to see if a warning is shown on the screen.
If displayed, refer to the table below and check the mode.
If there is no warning shown, check to see if the issue
is listed on page 35 of this manual. The problem may be
caused by something other than this panel. Please also
check the other components being used such as a video
deck. If the problem still cannot be solved, consult the
dealer where the panel was purchased.
About the self diagnosis mode
Error messages appear at the bottom of the screen to
indicate operational or connection issues. Verify the
message then check the condition of the unit.
