The phyCORE-AM64xx SOM also brings out two Industrial Ethernet Peripheral (IEP) modules that are not required for the
PRG ethernet ports to function, but provide the following additional utility:

Manage and generate industrial Ethernet functions
•
Time stamping and other time synchronization functions
